Following is a complete list of the programs offered at PTI.

Microsoft Office Professional Program
(600 Hour/22 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to provide students with professional, practical experience in today's business and law office environments. The program is progressive and emphasizes the interactive nature of all components.

The program offers the students a strong foundation in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint as well as, QuickBooks, and Legal Terminology/Office Procedures. The program is designed to enhance the graduates' overall work skills with the most modern up-to-date software skills. Graduates from this program can secure employment in diverse business and legal office positions from entry to executive level including, but not limited to, Support Staff, Office Managers, Administrative or Executive Assistants.

In addition to the software training, the students participate in the Professional Development courses to enhance their marketability and ease their transition back into the workplace. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Exam. Choice of one initial exam is included in tuition. This exam can be taken on site.

Microsoft Office Business Applications
(540 Hour/20 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to provide students with the opportunity to learn the Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks. The program is progressive and emphasizes the interactive nature of all components.

The program also offers the students a foundation in skill development in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and QuickBooks, as well as strong keyboarding skills. Graduates from this program can secure employment in diverse office positions from entry through executive level including Office Managers, Bookkeepers, Administrative or Executive Assistants.

In addition to the software training, the students participate in the Professional Development courses to enhance their marketability and ease their transition back into the workplace. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Exam. Choice of one initial exam is included in tuition. This exam can be taken on site.

Medical Office Specialist
(740 Hours/29 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to provide students with comprehensive training for various positions in medical office environments, as well as those with a strong administrative background looking to make the transition into the medical field. The program provides a strong foundation in a core group of courses necessary to meet the demands of today's healthcare industry. These include: PC Applications, MS Word, MS Excel, and Professional Development.

Special emphasis will be given to the following courses: CPT Evaluation Management, Medicare Billing, Medical Terminology, Medical Billing/Insurance/HIPAA Regulations, Computerized Medical Billing, Coding to include CPT/ICD-9, HCPCS and Transcription. This program provides a well-rounded educational experience and allows for variations in individual job requirements. This program is designed to enhance the students' communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Graduates from this program can secure entry to executive level employment in a variety of office positions involving customer service computer applications utilizing segments of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as diverse medical office positions, such as, but not limited to: Medical Transcriptionist, Medical Records Clerk, Medical Office Manager, and Medical Administrative Assistant.

Curriculum prepares students for the American Academy of Professional Coders Certification Exam (CPC-P) and the American Medical Billers Association (AMBA) Certificate for Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS)

Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the National Health Career Association's Certified Medical Administrative Assistant and Certified Medical Biling and Coding Specialist Combo exam. Initial exam is included in tuition. This exam can be taken on site.

Medical Billing/Coding
(480 Hours/18 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to provide students with training for billing positions in medical office environments. Emphasis in this program is in the billing department. Students interested in obtaining work dedicated to the billing practices of insurance will develop a full understanding of the uniform language needed. This program may also appeal to those looking to develop a home based business. The billing practices of healthcare offices are always in high demand and needs to be addressed as such. Key courses are to include: Medical Terminology, Medical Insurance/HIPAA Regulations, Computerized Medical Billing (MediSoft), Medicare Billing, Medical Coding to include ICD-9, CPT Evaluation and Management.

This program is designed to enhance the students' processing, reporting and organizational skills, along with the accuracy necessary to become successful in these positions. Graduates from this program can secure entry level employment in a variety of office positions involving customer service computer applications utilizing segments of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as diverse medical billing positions such as: Inpatient/Outpatient Coder, Medical Records Coder, Medical Insurance Clerk and Billing and Accounts Receivable.

Medical Administrative Assistant
(540 hour/20 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to provide students with training for various positions in a medical office. The perfect candidate for this program would be an individual who already has experience within a business organization. The program provides a strong foundation in a core group of courses necessary to meet the demands of today's ever growing healthcare industry. These include: PC Applications, Keyboarding, MS Word, MS Excel, and Professional Development.

Special emphasis will be given to the following courses: Medical Terminology, Medical Billing/Insurance/HIPAA Regulations, and Computerized Medical Billing with Coding to include CPT/ICD-9 and HCPCS. This program is designed to enhance the student's communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Graduates from this program can secure entry to executive level employment in a variety of office positions involving customer service computer applications utilizing segments of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as diverse medical office positions such as, but not limited to: Medical Receptionist, Unit Secretary, Patient Account Representative, Medical Billing/Collections Clerk, Medical Administrative Assistant, and Medical Office Manager.

Curriculum prepares students for the American Medical Billers Association (AMBA) Certificate for Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS)

Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the National Health Career Association's Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Exam. Initial exam is included in tuition. This exam can be taken on site.

Computerized Business Cluster
(740 Hour/29 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to prepare the student for entry-level clerical positions in a variety of business environments. The program provides a strong foundation in a core group of courses necessary to function effectively and efficiently in today's office environment. These include: Fundamentals in PC Applications, Keyboarding, Business Communications, Business Mathematics, Office Procedures, and Professional Development.

The program also offers the student the opportunity to choose an elective course of study in Microsoft Office with Computerized Accounting or Microsoft Office. The core and elective courses provide a well-rounded educational experience and allow for variations in individual job requirements. This program is designed to enhance the student's communication and organizational skills, fast-paced performance, positive attitude, and professional image. Graduates from this program can secure employment in diverse office positions such as, but not limited to: Receptionist, Office Assistant, Data Entry Clerk, and Customer Service Representative. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Exam. Choice of one initial exam is included in tuition. The exam can be taken on site.

Creative Office Design
(480 Hour/18 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to introduce the student to the field of computer graphics. To accommodate this increasing demand, Performance Training offers hands-on training in: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS PowerPoint Advanced, MS Publisher, and MS FrontPage. This course is intended for those who need to create desktop publications or websites in any industry. This program is useful for many professionals, including Office Support, Administrative Personnel, Human Resources, Marketing, and E-Commerce.

In addition to the software training, the student participates in the professional development program to enhance their marketability and ease their transition back into the workplace. Graduates from this program can secure entry level employment, in a variety of office positions involving customer service computer applications utilizing segments of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as, but not limited to: Assistant Account Executive, Marketing Assistant, Advertising Account Representative, and Junior Graphic Designer.

Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Exam. Choice of one initial exam is included in tuition. The exam can be taken on site.

Desktop Publishing & Office Specialist
(740 Hour/29 Week Certificate Program)

This program is designed for entry-level positions to expose students to the theories and tools necessary in developing the skill sets needed to have a successful and rewarding career in Desktop Publishing, Illustration and Office Administration. Designed with the artistic and imaginative student in mind, the program trains students in the foundations of desktop publishing and office automation. The students will learn to merge aesthetics with the practical applications of design that will create meaningful design solutions for the office. The program is also designed to enhance the students' communication and organizational skills by delivering comprehensive instruction in Microsoft Office technologies.

Students have the opportunity to enter an exciting and creative field that offers the opportunity to work on everything from computer illustration, digital graphics, branding design, and print production. Employment opportunities abound in such areas as advertising, in-house design departments, print design firms, and a variety of small business environments.

Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Exam. Choice of one initial exam is included in tuition. This exam can be taken on site.

Desktop Technician & Office Specialist
(740 Hour/29 Week Certificate Program)

The purpose of this program is to prepare the student for entry-level positions in an office support role in a variety of business environments. Students are instructed in supporting office hardware systems (the personal computer) as well as the most common office software applications (Microsoft Office). The ever changing use of technology in the office requires a specialist well trained in both hardware and software applications. These skilled professionals keep the computers humming in an organization and are critical to the day-to-day operations of any firm.

This program is also designed to enhance the student's communication and organizational skills, fast-paced performance, positive attitude, and professional image. The communication skills are increasing important because the Desktop Technician & Office Specialist is required to interact with all levels of the organization. Students are able to enjoy successful careers in office support, technical support, and office administration. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Exam. Choice of one initial exam is included in tuition.
